Issue
The Philippine customer had a construction project of retaining wall, which needed to strengthen the wall and repair the road below. The customer saw our geotechnical material products on the website and wanted to find a product that can be used for retaining wall and road at the same time, so he sent an inquiry for PET geogrid product.
Solution
First of all, we learned from our customers about the needs of engineering construction. On the one hand, the retaining wall should be strengthened, and the road should be renovated, and the road should have a certain load-bearing capacity, which is suitable for large trucks. After understanding the needs of customers, we recommended polyester geogrid to customers. Warp knitted polyester geogrid is a new high-quality geotechnical base material for strengthening subgrade. It uses high-strength polyester fiber or polypropylene fiber as raw material, adopts warp knitted directional structure, and the warp and weft yarns in the fabric are bound and combined with high-strength fiber filaments, Form a firm joint and give full play to its mechanical properties. When there is a need for reinforcement of embankment slope and retaining wall, warp knitted polyester geogrid reinforcement can enhance the overall strength. But in terms of pulling force, the customer doesn’t know which one is better. After determining the product, the customer learned from many local construction parties and studied the usage and laying of the PET geogrid. Finally, the tensile force of 120-40kn is determined. However, different from normal times, the customer requires the vertical and horizontal tension to be replaced, with a horizontal tension of 120kn and a longitudinal tension of 30KN. There is no problem for our production. Then we confirmed with the customer the size of the mesh and the number of warp threads. The customer proposed that the width of the road should be 6 meters, and the width of the grille should be closest to the width of the road. Considering the packing requirements, we recommended 5.95 meters to the customer, so that the large cabinet can not waste space and meet the needs of customers.
